【Latest News】Quemix's Proposal Adopted for 2024 Key and Advanced Technology R&D through Cross-Community Collaboration Program

Quemix's proposal has been accepted by the JST's K Program, a national initiative focused on developing essential advanced technologies that will ensure Japan's leading role in the international community for decades to come. The program funds R&D projects aligned with national strategic objectives.

Quemix, along with seven leading research institutions including the National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST), the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), has been selected by JST to develop underwater magnetic field measurement network technology using solid-state quantum sensors.

This research and development project will establish an underwater sensor network with multiple nitrogen-vacancy (NV) quantum sensors in diamond, capable of measuring the absolute value of magnetic fields and self-compensating for measurement errors caused by temperature fluctuations. Furthermore, analytical software will be developed to identify the location of artificial objects from the acquired data.

At Quemix, our core focus is developing cutting-edge quantum algorithms. Our expertise spans a range of applications, including machine learning, quantum chemistry, simulation, and optimization. We are also actively involved in developing quantum sensor technology and exploring synergies between these fields to pave the way for a brighter future.
